[Phangan Adventure] The Green Dot Trail: A Secret Path to the Gorgeous Haad Yuan Beach

After some nice accommodation review and photolog preview on my Samui Phangan Island Hopping 2014, perhaps its just about time to spice things up for a little ;) Anyway do take note of the warning statement below before we proceed..

Warning! This is a post for hardcore adventurers and hardcore adventurers only! If you do not:
- aged 21 and over
- physically fit with good stamina
- exercise constantly
- have jungle trekking experience

You might wanna leave now for the sake of your own safety..

Ok assuming only hardcore adventurers remain, let’s get started shall we? ;) Today we’ll be deviating slightly from the ordinary tourist path, taking you guys into a route which not many choose to go through, a challenge which only those who willing to push few extra miles will succeed. Ladies & gentlemen may I present to you——The Green Dot Trail @Haad Rin Koh Phangan, a 4 km jungle terrain across the hill which you’ll end up at the stunning beach of Haad Yuan after passing through a magnificent viewpoint overlooking Haad Yuan beach. b^^d

Superbly gorgeous beach of Haad Yuan b^^d
Haad Yuan Beach, Koh Phangan: blue sky, white sand, turquoise waters, palm trees, serenity dotted beach ;)

Finding the path- walking on the dirt road behind Fairyland Resort and Palita Lodge, go straight pass the entrance of these resorts and up the hill and you'll find the not so obvious starting point of the trail at Laluna Banglows which kinda looks like a small ascending path into the jungle.

After a nearly 1 hour trekking up the hill, an isolated viewpoint overlooking the beautiful bay and Haad Yuan beach unfold~ b^^d

The Green Dot Trail viewpoint.
Viewpoint overlooking the beautiful bay of Haad Yuan and Haad Thian ^^

Another 1 hour trekking down from the other side of the hill, you’ll be stepping on the soft white sand of Haad Yuan beach. b^^d

Haad Yuan Beach, Koh Phangan.
Haad Yuan Beach, Koh Phangan, with love :P

However the path isn’t easy. Do bear in mind this isn’t one of those casual walking path, the small steep track ascending into the mountain can be tough to go through & some of the junctions could be confusing.

follow the dots & bottle sign (yellow arrows interted) on trees all the time.
always remember the point where you see the last sign.
and you'll end up in this beautiful scenery with lots of memorable memories ^^

Though my friend & I gone through the trail without a scratch however  this path is indeed one of those challenging one as there were more than a few times which we almost gave up as we feel like we gone on a wrong track and the the woods were kinda secluded & quiet (as if it was abandoned ages ago).

part of the track (yellow arrow inserted) which leads into the dim tall barnyard grass bushes.

So my advice before challenging The Green Dot Trail..>> Gear up yourself (water, energy bar, first aid, compass), go only on a sunny morning & leave before dawn, do not enter alone, and even better if you could get a local guide.

Finally, if you’re not confident enough, forget about the view point go for a taxi boat at Haad Rin (Sunrise) beach which could easily send you to the beautiful Haad Yuan beach on a 15 mins boat ride which cost roughly 100 baht/way/person. ;)

overlooking the beautiful bay of Haad Yuan at the view point.
reach this beautiful bay after 2 hours of jungle trekking through the mountain, sense of achievement overload :P

I Am The Unstoppable Explorer

I am no doubt the Unstoppable Explorer when it comes to SPORTS..& being unstoppable is only the beginning.. :) Passion, tons of training hours & a sprinkle of nature talent, that’s what within me which aid to triumph :D

Why do call yourself an unstoppable explorer? Now that’s a very tough question to answer as I have a wide scope of interest in sports, indoor/ outdoor/ extreme/ land/ water/ skill orientated/ adventurous..You name it & I’m in! Boundaries? There is no such thing, perhaps only sky's the limit :)

Now to back myself up here’s a little something I got involved with just few months back to put my strength into test-
Skytrex Bkt Cahaya shah Alam.
Fear Zone Fear Factor MY.
which both turns out to be a wonderful experience by d way..Like I said- only sky's the limit :P Basically I wont face much obstacles when I go up against those challenges however when it comes to exploration which involve jungles and woods keeping myself on the right track is the tricky part, learn it the hard way when I almost got lost finding my way to Skytrex Shah Alam. :P So if I were to pick an essential gadget which I can count on in my adventures, GPS would definitely be my top priority ^__^
my choice of GPS
Anyway back to the topic, the unstoppable explorer of sports might sounds a bit vague, if a single specification is to be made, BASKETBALL would be my choice of forte. A popular sport many people play but few advance. Accuracy, skills, courage & the urge to explore your limits, that’s what I believe in to dominate a game. Now thanx to the latest innovative service by Astro—— Astro-On-The-Go (ATGO) I can easily access to my favourite sports matches & events live anytime, anywhere which is awesome!  Y^___^Y

Astro’s Fear Factor House Fearless Challenge

“What your biggest fear is and how it affects your life?”

What doesn't kill you makes you stronger, that’s what Kelly Clarkson said, however the truth is, sometimes the scariest things isn’t those which kill you right on the spot, but things which not so much as to kill you, yet not so little as to let you live.

I’m an adventurous man, I love X-game and adventure sports, pursuit of thrill and extreme excitement is what I’m always looking forward to. However there is one thing I’m afraid of, the fear of LOSING, that’s the biggest fear of my life. Not the win-lose circumstances in a competition or games, but to lose someone to death or any other unexpected way, LOSING a LOVERS, FRIENDS, SOMEONE that MEANS SO MUCH to you, the person you would take a bullet for them.

Remember those superhero movies, as though a hero can be, they fall, making wrong call at the vary moment when their loved one is in jeopardy. The fear of losing a lover, the impact and magnitude of the incidence brings is so extreme to handle even for superheros. Though I might be way too far to be in their shoes, but my intensity of fear for losing love ones in life is of the same.

Someone once said:

“I do fear death. I fear dying in here, while my city burns, and there's no one there to save it.”

That’s just about how I fear of losing those I care & love..I do not fear death, but I fear dying here, while my love ones are in jeopardy, and there’s no one there to save them.

Fear doesn’t make a person weak, well at least not me. It actually motivate me to always be prepared, work harder, strive towards excellent, to be excel physically & mentally, to be strong enough and good enough to protect my love ones, to be able to be there for them when needed. Ok I might be a bit exaggerate but hey, who knows what life have to offer, it’s always better to be prepared right. :)

Coming Back to the show, in the brand new seasons of Astro’s Fear Factor Malaysia (Fear Factor Selebriti Malaysia brought to you on Astro Ria 104 Dec 2012) hosting by Aaron Aziz, our lovely nation celebrities such as Hafizul Kamal, Hefny Sahad, Dazrin Kamarudin, Didie Alias, Isham, Ezlynn, Nik Michael, Fairul, Elfira Loy, Iz OIAM, Yassin etc will be fighting hard throughout the challenges, facing the fear of their life! Stay tune to see them in action!

My support goes to Hafizul & Henfy as they are fit and smart, plus superb confident in winning the challenge, with this winning attitude they are already halfway through winning.  :P
