Spanish National Day Celebration 2014 @ La Bodega BSC

My last visit to La Bodega BSC was quite enjoyable and It doesn't take long before I revisited the lovely tapas bar & restaurant for some pleasant Spanish delights, this time in conjunction with the celebration of Spanish National Day 2014 ;)

Before we head down to a night full of delectable Spanish joyance, here's a scoop of the Spanish National Day Celebration's origin —— Fiesta Nacional de España, the national day of Spain is held annually on October 12 which commemorates the anniversary landing of Christopher Columbus's first arrival in the New World (Americas) on October 12, 1492. The day which is widely celebrated throughout the Americas is known as Columbus Day in the United States and as Día de la Raza in various Latin American countries. Known for their love of food, life and revelry, the 3 F's —— Fiesta, Flamenco and Food are the key words of Spaniards in defining their National Day and yes that's what we had for our own celebration @ La Bodega BSC b^^d

Marques de Murrieta Wine Tasting @ La Bodega Bangsar Shopping Centre

Founded in 1852 with a history of more than one-and-a-half decade, Marqués de Murrieta by Luciano Murrieta (Spain) has been well known as one of Rioja's great old names. For more than 160 years the family based Marqués de Murrieta Winery has constantly serving the world with its quality wines originated from the magnificent Ygay Estate, a 300 own-hectare single vineyard settled in the southern part of la Rioja Alta surrounding the property.

Thanks to the lovely folks from La Bodega I had a wonderful evening last week savouring the taste of superior winemaking at La Bodega BSC, where a total of 6 wines from both red and white wine menu were served. ^^

our wine menu: Reserva 2008, Gran Reserva 2005, & Dalmau 2007 on the red wine menu and the Pazo Barrantes Albarino 2012, Capellania Reserva 2008, & Capellania Reserva 2009 on the white wine menu. ^^

guests enjoying food at the event :)

And my personal favourites goes to:

favourite 1: Dalmau 2007, the fine & savoury Spanish red wine.
(Best 2007 Reserva from Rioja Alta wine area)
favourite 2: Capellania Reserva 2009, one of the oldest top white Reserva of Rioja. The complexity well-oaked white match perfectly with the paella ;)
