Located at Corus Hotel, KL, Komura Japanese Restaurant is definitely one interesting restaurant to be in when you're craving for Japanese food. Putting aside those impressive selection of authentic dishes including wide variety of sashimi, sushi, teppanyaki, yakimono (grilled dish), nimono (broiled dishes), agemono (fried dish), bento sets etc., the cosy ambiance of Komura Japanese Restaurant which made up of multiple cubical rooms connected via cobble stones pathways offers a truly one-of-a-kind private dining experience, one that is rare to come by in KL b^^d

à la carte menu at a glance, set lunch and weekend buffet menu also available ^^ |
Our visit to the restaurant was on a Friday afternoon which we tried out some of the à la carte menu items. Among the dishes Unagi Kabayaki is one that impresses me most as it was flawlessly cooked with thick kabayaki sauce glazed on top, giving the unagi its crispy golden skin and moist tender texture, of course the good quality unagi gives extra credits to it b^^d

Mixed Tempura: prawn, fish & vegetable, best have it while warm with light Tentsuyu (tempura dipping sauce) |
Mixed Sashimi: Maguro (tuna), Shake (salmon), Shime saba (vinegared mackerel), Mekajiki (butter fish), Tako (octopus) etc.. Simply mix and match your favourite sashimi into a mixed sashimi platter ;) |
exceptionally delicious Unagi Kabayaki, generous strips of prefectly grilled eel dish that match nicely with the sweet sticky soy based kabayaki sauce, haven't met one as good as this in quite some time now b^^d |
gigantic Spider Maki, one which made impossible for me to finish them in one bite like I usually did ^^ |
Green Tea Ice Cream, end up our lunch on a sweet note :) |
