What’s up foodies, remember the tasty Thai cuisine of Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant @ Palm Garden Hotel I introduced just few months ago? Well It’s not too late to get your first taste, in fact things just got better as Aroi Dee Thai Restaurant and Palms Café @ Palm Garden Hotel have recently rolled out the new April Rendezvous menu featuring 3 new signature stalls serving popular items of the restaurant/café ranging from ranging from Thai cuisine to local delights ;)

Despite the a la carte menu and buffet breakfast, Thai Fest Dinner Buffet (every Friday night), Flaming Barbecues Dinner Buffet (every Saturday night) and Weekend Hi-Tea Buffet (Saturday, Sunday & public holiday) with choices of authentic Thai and Nyonya dishes, mouth-watering barbecue and grills are now available throughout the weekend. 

While Thai food and satay are things that have caught my attention during my previous visits to the hotel's restaurant, this time the exotic mantis prawns and fresh oysters stands out with the prominent appearance and surprisingly delicious taste-sensation ^^

Its pretty hard to decide which to go for between the Thai Fest and Flaming Barbecues Dinner Buffet as for both the mains comprises a mouth watering selection of fresh seafood cooked in an equally tempting Thai style or barbecue, doesn't really have a clue for that so good luck in choosing -_____-

Just Pie @ IOI City Mall Putrajaya

Have you ever had that sense of reluctance to visit a new place simply because it's only a stone's throw away from where you live and you could always drop by ‘maybe some other time’? Well that’s exactly the reason why I've yet to step foot into IOI City Mall which is only a few minutes' drive from my Uni :P

Anyway, thanks to Just Pie, the newly emerged bakery in IOI City Mall I’ve finally made it to the mall just to grab a taste of their delicious looking pies (well what can I say.. a savory meat pie always sounds yummy and I can never say no to that XD).

first thing I like about the place, unique painted table designs, nice background for photog ^^

starting up with something sweet, S’mores Pie~ short crust dark chocolate filling topped with soft oven 
baked marshmallow (RM 13.7)

Nutella Mille Crepe, layers of crêpe filled with nutella, chocolate powder and crumbly pie crust added credit to the 
taste and texture (RM 15.8)

Oreo, smooth cream filling topped with crunchy oreo flakes, the perfect fix for the sweet tooth (RM 13.7)

Cappuccino (RM 9.5)

It's always nice to have a little sweet treats in life, but when it comes to pie, I’ll always opt for the savory type as those yummy meaty fillings enveloped in flaky pastry is simply too tempting to resist .. So.. savory pies coming right up ;) 

 #JustPie, a semi-ready version shoot.. a 15-20 minutes baking upon order and the light flaky pastry with warm 
savory filling is ready to be served ^^

a stronger hint of the mushroom though.   

Creamy-3-Mushrooms,  no worries if you're a vegetarian as this succulent mushroom pie with 3 different mushrooms mix 
is just the right vegetarian pie for you ;)

ZEST Cafe & Restaurant @ The Sphere, Bangsar South

‘Tasty food is often not healthy and healthy food is not tasty’, well that is what most people think, ask Mr Ong—the food technologist/owner of the ZEST Cafe & Restaurant and he will tell you a different story ;) Located inside The Sphere, Bangsar South, this lovely healthy food restaurant with a Mediterranean inspired menu is definitely the place to be in if your’re looking for some tasty and healthy meals which wouldn’t burden the body with too much MSG, saturated fat or other synthetic food additives.

Since started the business back at 2011, ZEST Cafe & Restaurant pride themselves in serving up healthy MSG-free food with low fat and sugar, on top of that olive oil has been the fundamental cooking oil for all the western mains in the restaurant according to the owner, a big thumbs up for the dedicated health food restaurant which certainly live up to their tagline—— 'Food for the body, and food for the soul' b^^d

Among the signature dishes served, my personal favourites goes to the aromatic Pan Grilled Salmon which were nicely seasoned and perfectly cooked, the tender, moist and flavourful salmon cut is simply too alluring to resist ;) 

Pumpkin Soup (RM 6.5)

Zest Salad, a colorful and healthy mix of fresh salads with grilled pan grilled prawns, zucchini, aubergine and pumpkin 
tossed in balsamic dressing (RM 17.5)

Rosemary Roast Chicken. The flavor was well balanced between the rosemary and roast chicken, 
nice sharing dish (whole RM 38, half RM 21)

Pan Grilled Salmon with Lemon Capers Sauce , those tender, moist and flavourful thick cut 
never fails to make me drool :P (RM 38.8)

Just in case you're not a meat person, another favourite of mine, the Aubergine Spinach Lasagna is what you shouldn't overlook here at ZEST Cafe & Restaurant, the natural home-blend hearty tomato sauce is what standout to me for this dish, and trust me if you have had enough of those heavy, cheesy, stick-to-your-guts kinda lasagna, try this to even up the score ;)

Prawn Spaghetti Alla Pesto. If you're wondering, yup the pesto sauce is homemade too ^^  (RM 19.5)

a sweet ending to the satisfying night. ;)

Twenty One Grams Café @ Petaling Jaya (PJ Newtown)

Twenty-one grams, some said that’s how much a human soul weighs.. Well I'm not entirely positive about that saying as it is, at least to present, a rather controversial argument.. However, what I do know for sure is that twenty one grams of freshly ground coffee, that gives a perfect cup of coffee. Trust me as I've personally verified it at the Twenty One Grams Café, a pleasant new café in town which located just a few blocks away from the MBPJ Tower in PJ Newtown ^^

Being the only chic café opened just few months back in the Petaling Jaya new town centre, Twenty One Grams Café prides itself on serving specialty coffee and amazing food, and to our surprise the café which we have not heard much about serves a markedly good dark roasted coffee (at a pretty decent price too), rich and flavorful but not burnt, just the way a nice cuppa dark roasted coffee should be b^^d

If you're looking for something more than coffee to fill your tummy, the wide variety of homemade dishes here at Twenty One Grams Café won't fail you as both Western and Asian foods are available with lots of selections under various categories, pretty diverse menu for a café if you ask me ;)  

Brioche French Toast with banana and strawberries, one of the many tasty and eye-pleasing all-day breakfast item ^^

Turkey Mango Chutney, Turkey ham, mango chutney, basil & melted cheese with artisanal hand-made ciabatta. 
The lovely basil fragrance is what attracted me the most to this dish, the cheese is slightly mild to my taste though.   

Chocolate Cheese Brownie, dense fudgy chocolate brownie with a unique touch of cheese, interesting dessert ^^ 

Churros & Esprosso Chocolate

Crunchy crispy on the outside and soft on the inside churros together with the alluring espresso chocolate dipping 
made it a perfect sweet treat not to be missed here @ Twenty One Grams Café b^^d

Getting here can be a little bit tricky as the traffic has been recently redirected, fear not, however, as Waze is still pretty much reliable in finding your way to Twenty One Grams Café according to the owner ;)
