After a solid two months quest for the best street food gems, Tiger Bites hosted a rooftop street flavours affair in the heart of Kuala Lumpur to celebrate the amazing reception the campaign has garnered.

A scrumptious spread of popular Malaysian hawker food were dished out at the al fresco dining festival that saw the rooftop of Avenue K transformed to resemble popular street food markets of Kuala Lumpur. Specially created Tiger Beer cocktails — Roaring Passion and Bite Me, Cherry — were handed out to welcome foodies, who were in for a treat and spoilt for choice as they indulged in the wide array of yummy nom noms and ice cold Tiger Beer while taking in the rugged contours of Kuala Lumpur’s city skyline.

Back in August, Tiger Bites challenged foodies to a gastronomical hunt around Malaysia to uncage hidden street flavours. Embarking on roads less travelled, food lovers traversed the country in search for rare but yummy hawker nom noms, pinning their discoveries on Tiger Beer’s microsite www.tigerbites.com.my for others to explore.

Prizes such as 18 sets of GoPros, phone lenses and selfie tripods were rewarded to participants of this 11 week long contest. The participant who put together the best street food trail (which combines the most number of pins dropped and total distance travelled) was identified and awarded with an all-expenses paid trip for two to Taiwan where more great meals await!

Elevating the experience, guests will be entertained with captivating performances by British mezzo-soprano queen, Carly Paoli and pop-idol heart-throb, Gareth Gates.

To heighten the experience, guests will also enjoy specially curated menus for A Journey Through Time by Feast Village’s new Executive Chef at Shook! – Chef Richard Sawyer. A veteran with 26 years of experience, Chef Richard has worked in two Michelin-star restaurants in London and his gastronomic delicacies will be made available at Feast Village from 20th to 27th November 2015.

A Journey Through Time will come to a grand conclusion with Starhill Gallery’s Watch of the Year Awards. With over 30 years of experience in Dim Sum making, Chef Chong emphasizes on using high quality and fresh ingredients only as he makes all the Dim Sum from scratch daily.

A total of 33 à la carte Dim Sum delights are available every day for lunch. Price starts from RM 12.60 nett onwards per portion. Choices range from steamed, baked and deep fried to healthy congee. 

Among the new Dim Sum which are becoming a firm favourite among the diners includes Crispy yam biscuit, Pan-seared stuffed three treasures, Steamed bun with egg yolk custard, Emerald dumpling topped with fresh scallop, Traditional steamed glutinous rice, Oven baked egg custard tart and Crispy banana roll with red bean paste.
