Hey guys can you imagine how quickly time
flies, it has been a year now since my last food post (well ‘sort of’ a year
technically as we’re in 2014 now right XD). Anyway date doesn’t really matters,
what to be focus on here is a piping hot bowl of noodles with exceptional chicken
based broth, serves via a cosy little ramen shop hidden deep in a quiet corner
of Farenheit 88, KL--- in case you still don't get it, Marutama Ramen is what I mean here ^^
Marutama Ramen @ 1st floor Fahrenheit 88 (Food Hot Spot area), Bukit Bintang, KL.
Simple yet cosy setting. Love the comfy & relaxing atmosphere :) |
a gentle Japanese touch here & there, lovely :) |
Marutama provide a straight forward choice of soup for the ramen, simply choose either you would like to have a spicy or non-spicy chicken broth plus the combination of topping you prefer. I ordered the Char Siu Tamago Ra-men with seaweed, onion, ajitsuke tamago & char siu slices.. And here comes the most anticipated star of the post>>> huge bowl of mouth-watering ramen, which serves up pretty quick by the way (less than 10 mins) b^^d
Char Siu Tamago Ra-men (RM 27) |
Their signature chicken based broth which boiled for over five hours in order to produce the thick savoury flavor is superbly delectable, luscious taste of nutritious chicken essence which you could easily distinguish it from those ordinary soup which utilise synthetic flavour enhancer. b^^d
The delightful
Ajitsuke Tamago & mouth-watering
char siu which literary melt-in-your-mouth is something worth trying as well. The noodles on the other hand isn’t as
outstanding as I presume, yes the handmade noodles is firm & smooth which
is nice, however personally I would like it to be more springy. Don’t get me
wrong now, Marutama serves great ramen which definitely rank up high at my
‘Best ramen in KL’ list, maybe not perfect but still its great ^^
A good news for garlic lovers, Marutama offers unlimited crispy fried garlic slices & sesame for additional flavor ;)
