Located just a stone's
throw away from one of Kuala Lumpur's most happening site Changkat Bukit

has been well known not only for its pleasing fine Malay cuisine but also the
restaurant’s warm and elegant setting. b^^d

Modern & elegant surroundings with a traditional Malay touch. Love the great ambiance & spacious layout. |
Huge thanks to TableApp and Foodirector a few of us bloggers were invited for a dinner try-out where lovely traditional Ramadan Malay Buffet spreads were served. :)
Variable seafood selection which grill upon order. |
Colorful Malaysian's Kuih Muih (local kueh/cake made from rice/glutinous rice), attractive and mouth-watering ^^ |
Collection of Malay appetisers/salad, nice accompaniment for the upcoming main course. |
One thing I love about Malay cuisine is that the dishes are so tempting with the vivid colour & fragrant flavour, the Signature Ayam Mask Merah (Fried chicken simmered in a red sauce of chillies, tomatoes & spices) and Rusuk Kambing Masak Hitam (Lamb cutlet in a spiced black sauce) are something not to be missed here at Bijan ;)
Vivid colour & fragrant flavour main courses served together with quality white rice/fragrant rice. The dishes are slightly less spicy probably to suit the majority of western patrons visiting, however extra spices do available so help yourself if you urge for a heavier taste ;) R on pic- Kupang Goreng Serai (Mussel Stir-fried with Spiced Lemongrass). |

Ayam Mask Merah- Fried chicken simmered in a red sauce of chilies, tomatoes & spices. |

Ayam Golek Panggang (Roasted Chicken). |
The surprising delectable satay. The Beef satay is basically second to none, definitely one of the best beef satay that I ever had. It would've been perfect with a more flavourful peanut sauce ;) |
After an ample buffet, there's nothing better than a bowl of quintessential Malaysian dessert- ais kacang (Shaved ice dessert) to clear up the spices before having some other desserts ;) |
If you're looking for some flavour enhancement, Bijan bar which serves wine & cocktails is always available ;) |
Finally just before we thought the night has nearly come to an end, Bijan Executive Chef Zulkifli blown us away with the restaurant signature desserts- the heavenly taste Durian Cheese Cake and Chocolate Durian Cake. Personally I'm more towards the durian hater side but these desserts made me ate more durian than I ever had in the past 10 years, yes that's how awesome it taste :P
Durian Cheese Cake. A prefect balance between premium grade D24 durian and mascarpone cheese, wonderful flavour. b^^d |
Chocolate Durian Cake. Layer of sweet creamy premium D24 and moist chocolate cake coated in velvety dark chocolate ganache. b^^d |
