New Dim Sum Menu @ Dynasty Restaurant (满福楼), Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel


The Dynasty Restaurant Renaissance Kuala Lumpur Hotel, a lifestyle hotel within the Marriott International global portfolio has undergone a revamp recently, with a new dimension added  to its private dining rooms which can now be converted into one large dining area complete with an elegant foyer for private dinners or other social events that can easily accommodate 80 persons, the newly renovated Dynasty Restaurant furnished in warm earth tones and finished with a red-lighted feature wall adorned with delicate Chinese porcelain will set the mood for a pleasurable dining experience while exquisite Chinese cuisine will thrill the palate of lovers of fine food.

Rolling out to the dinners alongside with the newly renovated restaurant's interior is the all new home-made Dim Sum selection by the newly appointed Dim Sum Chef Chong Foo Tuck. With over 30 years of experience in Dim Sum making, Chef Chong emphasizes on using high quality and fresh ingredients only as he makes all the Dim Sum from scratch daily.

A total of 33 à la carte Dim Sum delights are available every day for lunch. Price starts from RM 12.60 nett onwards per portion. Choices range from steamed, baked and deep fried to healthy congee. 

Among the new Dim Sum which are becoming a firm favourite among the diners includes Crispy yam biscuit, Pan-seared stuffed three treasures, Steamed bun with egg yolk custard, Emerald dumpling topped with fresh scallop, Traditional steamed glutinous rice, Oven baked egg custard tart and Crispy banana roll with red bean paste.

Venezuela Gastronomic Festival 2015 @ Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences


Located literary half-way across the globe, Venezuela, a Latin America country with magnificent shoreline along the Caribbean Sea and the North Atlantic Ocean is a place which I didn’t know much about, well thanks to the Venezuela Gastronomic Festival 2015, one of the biggest Latin Food fest in Malaysia currently ongoing in the newly rebranded Pullman Kuala Lumpur City Centre Hotel & Residences, I've had an opportunity to know a little bit more about the country through its food, and much to my surprise not only this lovely Latin America country is pretty good with beef oriented dish, they also possess some of the wonderfully unique and tasty cuisine which I enjoy the pleasure of savouring them at the authentic buffet spreed putting up by Chef Federico Martin Tischler and Chef Enrique Limardo from Venezuela, the master mind behind the unique dishes of Venezuela Gastronomic Festival 2015 ^^

Held in conjunction with the 10th Venezuelan Week Malaysia, the Venezuela Gastronomic Festival aims to showcase the flavourful, indigenous and diverse Venezuelan cuisine. Among the authentic Venezuelan dishes presents by the visiting duo, the Roasted Beef with Guasacaca is no doubt my number one personal favorite, this impressive chunk of roasted beef which served in cuts of flavourful tender pinkish slices is made perfect with chef's avocado salsa recipe, a highly recommended must try for sure b^^d

The Arepas, an interesting flatbread made with ground maize dough is another essential Venezuelan classic I enjoy having, describes as the 'Venezuelan sandwich' by chef this bread is a versatile delight which goes well with almost all kind of fillings and sauces, Reina Pepiada (chicken morsels coated via avocado mayonnaise) & Carne Mechada (shredded beef venezuela style) for instance ^^

For those who fancy for something to satisfy their sweet tooth, the nourishes and savory slow-cooked Black Beans is a good place to start and feel free to indulge in the dazzling selection of Venezuelan desserts which promise nothing less than a perfect end to a great meal.
